Liz Walker was appointed Chief Executive Officer of Lort Smith Animal Hospital in June 2010. Her career began as a vet in private small animal practice, in research (the field of parasitology of sheep) and teaching, before she entered the corporate world and held positions in sales and marketing. She was appointed General Manager of Gribbles in 2004. Liz has held positions on various animal health-related committees and is a trustee of the Australian Companion Animal Health Foundation. She lives with her husband, four children and two delightful twelve-year-old cats.
