Volunteers

Lort Smith Animal Hospital is fortunate to have the support of over 400 wonderful volunteers who come from every possible background – from CEOs who work in the shelter at weekends, to long-term prisoners fostering little kittens too small to be adopted. All our volunteers share a love of animals and a desire to help.

Volunteers assist with:

  • providing daily care for animals in the shelter
  • providing foster care for young or in need animals
  • administration
  • the PALS program and
  • customer service in the Lort Smith Shop.
